Tropical Sunset

The weatherman said, it’s a remnant of a tropical storm broken up far out in the Pacific. Indeed, we got an unusual stormy cloudy sky, feel the humidity almost like in the South. Last night towards midnight, sudden rustling sound in the bushes, I thought the raccoon is back, turned out it’s raining, big spotty drops on the totally dry leaves, makes a dramatic sound.

Something different from a typical July in California, like a little spice, makes me look forward to what’s next. After a long cloudy day, the sun tears up the cloud patches, peeking through, gives the sky some texture and depth, like first smudging the oil paint, then splattering some gold.
