I love driving out of Pinnacles N.P. West entrance at dusk, passing by Soledad when lights just coming on. It’s such a contrast from the awe of quiet nature that you soaked up in the Pinnacles. Soledad is a small agriculture town, heavily Mexican toned. The doors of those little stores along the main street are always wide open and well lit, you can almost count the groceries from outside.
It’s here you can feel the warmth of human touch, the inhale and exhale of daily life.
