Saturday morning, the sun is brewing spring in the yard: peach trees starting to blossom here and there, like a dancing note composing music.
A sleepy cat is sunbathing on the fence, her favorite spot. Back on New Year’s Day, she had a pink jacket on, stunned me with her new look. Now whenever I see her without the pink jacket, I always get tickled by her being naked without even knowing it.
A squirrel took a chance while cat is sleeping, ran across the yard and climbed up the bird bath, sneaking in for a drink of water.
Everyone is enjoying themselves, no rush, at their own pace and in their own place. All I need is here: a healthy body moving freely, a loving family chatting around me, a spring yard breathing of life and energy. They say your yard is a universe, I say heaven is at the moment.
