After just 3 days in the hospital, home looks renewed, life seems refreshed. Time in the hospital is a different time, it’s no longer clock time, but chores time: meal time, lab time, exam time, waiting time… Most is waiting time, as you are no longer in charge of your time anymore.
But the home-bound drive is the best ride ever: spring flowers and new green reflects the scenery inside the heart. Now that we are back home, sweet home, even the quirky becomes dimples of life. Spending time away makes me realize what a paradise I have, appreciation grows when separated.
Both Peonies are vibrantly blooming like big, welcome-home hugs from our yard. The grapevine thriving and exploding high beyond the arbor, showing off its vitality. The Amaryllis is shooting up like bamboo shoots, with dramatic crown shaped, gorgeous red flowers humbly blooming in the shade.
What a healing energy when I inhale, I can feel my yard is missing me, welcoming me with its special way. “I’m available inside out now”, I whispered.
