Fall in Love Again

Can you imagine: at 71, went back to work; 96 broke up with boyfriend; 103 grand opening of a personal photography exhibition?  That’s a Japanese lady, who lived into a legend.

Everyone was a child once, most of us lost touch with it as we grew up, and very few fortunate ones keep that child into their adulthood, even throughout their entire life.

How many can still fall in love at 96? It’s a capability and capacity to embrace love. When we are in love, we love the world around us, we love the person who opens up that sunny side of the world, and deep inside we love ourselves when we are in love. We are our best self, beautiful inside and out, our heart is filled with hope, love, tenderness, freshness… Same applies when we do our favorite things, that’s when we meet our favorite self: calm and confident, intrigued with curiosity, fascinated by the sensations of the world, purified by the light of nature… the list goes on and on. By learning about what is our favorite self, it will teach us what we’re yearning for. That may open up our horizon, to unlearn, re-learn about ourselves.

Maybe we can try to fall in love with ourselves first. Live into that person you would fall in love with: be the light, stay fresh and tender, stay open to the outside world. Stay young at heart, keep that child inside tendered, keep your heart soft and open.

We are all given equally: one life span. Live like you mean it; make every day, every breath count; fuel that passion throughout your journey. Live into a poem, a painting, a song, a dance…wherever your heart leads you, don’t forget how beautiful it was when you first started, don’t lose track, don’t forget…
