So close, no matter how far

So close, no matter how far. I started to fall in love with Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters”! A couple lessons learned when I was so close:

1. Put down your cell phone:  look at the trees, grass, flowers, even though they are not at their prime time, yet it’s the beauty of the world. Way more precious than the little lifeless phone screen, they’re full of life.

2. The things I miss the most are small things: sitting on the bench in front of an old house in a remote park on top of the mountain, quietly killing time with mama, watching the falling leaves and listening to the breathing of the mountain.

3. What about my own moonlight yoga? Will the apple tree and the moonlit path remember me and my yoga under the full moon?

4. I’m very satisfied with myself suddenly,  even though I’m still not perfect: not pretty enough, not good enough…. it’s more than enough actually, there’s only one me, ever! As I am, never before, never again. That’s how I am and who I am. I started to love myself. Silly me!

Think of your best friend, your loved ones, what you actually remember about them are the glittering of their eyes, the smile they carry at the tip of their lips. Not the wrinkles  nor the imperfect skin, because that’s where the soul cracks through, the heart shines out.

Don’t forget these tips, even when you are not that close any more. It’s a wake-up call: treasure your life; treasure every moment. The little things matter the most, they are free yet priceless, that’s the beauty of this world and our journey through it. Don’t waste it, don’t ignore it. Most importantly, treasure yourself: the most unique and beautiful creature ever on earth, once and for all.

So close, no matter how far.
