Space is what you carve from time. While awakening from a morning meditation, when I first opened my eyes, everything was black and white. Then, with a blink, two blooming pink peonies immediately sprang to my eyes, bright pink, like two sisters standing in a black and white world.
At that moment, my mind wasn’t processing any thoughts, just absorbing the image of those blazing peonies contrasting against the black and white world. I left the “why” outside of my mind. The space between two pink peonies and the rest of colorless world, between my vision and my mind creates a moment of stillness. There is Space.
When the rest of world resumed its color, two geese flew by over my head, honking, like a cheering. No one can plan better than that.
