Today’s sunset afterglow was amazing! Totally unexpected, all is dark and cloudy, people almost totally gone, giving up hope for a picturesque sunset. Close to 6pm, I saw a hint of rosy cloud show up, and my hope went up. In less than 5 minutes, the sky was totally burning, with the reflection on the water, the entire horizon was red, bright red, so vibrant, like a stage setting. I can’t believe my eyes, at that same time, thousands of birds flying and trumpeting together in the air, looking for their resting place for the night. The colors were beyond describable, that passion was way beyond the color spectrum. The sound of the birds was just perfect for the echoing of nature’s vitality. My best sunset used to be one in Tucson, Arizona many years ago, now it’s been updated.
I looked around, I’m the only one standing here by the water, how can nature be this generous to me, all this is just for me?! I am so touched, for a moment my heart can feel the gentle touch of the burning sky, being drawn into it. It’s an unusual sensation, like you can talk to the sky, and it murmurs back.
My heart softens like being mesmerized; I closed my eyes for a moment so that I can forever seal it in my heart, tears coming out: this is the best Valentine’s gift ever!
